Tips and Tricks
We work hard to make sure that every visit to our wood debris drop-off yard is smooth and professional. If you’re a first-time visitor, here are some useful things to know.
-
General guidance
Most wood material is acceptable provided it has not been treated and it is free of dirt, rock, and metal. If you’re unsure, consult the lists of acceptable and unacceptable materials below.
-
Sort your load
Green material and wood debris go in separate piles. If you’re bringing a large mixed load, it might save time if you separate the material before you arrive.
-
Size matters
For logs and limbs, we accept maximum dimensions of 8’ long by 20” wide. Any pieces larger than this will be rejected. No stumps are accepted. Please make sure you’ve cut down large pieces before you arrive, as the use of power tools is prohibited in the yard.
-
Off limits
We do not accept treated wood of any kind. Our boilers are sensitive, and chemicals in treated wood can degrade it very quickly.
-
420 Friendly
Cannabis and hemp stalks and stems are now welcome at the yard.
-
Got a lot?
If you anticipate the need to deliver more than three loads (e.g. dump truck, side dump, end dump, chip van, log truck) in a day, please contact the main office at (541) 826-9422 for approval and logistics coordination.
